Privacy

Private by design.

clauseInsight.com is designed so core document analysis happens in your browser rather than by sending document text to a clauseInsight.com analysis server.

01

Document processing

For the Red-Flag Checker, Readability Checker, and Legalese Detector, uploaded or pasted document text is processed in-browser. TXT is read directly. DOCX is extracted locally. PDF parsing code is loaded when a text-based PDF needs to be read.

02

What is not intentionally sent

clauseInsight.com does not intentionally send your contract text, extracted snippets, generated document content, or detected clauses to a clauseInsight.com server for core analysis.

03

Third-party code

PDF parsing software may be loaded from a public CDN only when a PDF needs to be read. Loading the parser makes a normal request for the software asset; the PDF contents are supplied to that parser in your browser rather than intentionally uploaded to the CDN by clauseInsight.com. DOCX and TXT extraction use built-in browser processing.

04

Analytics

If analytics are added, they should be limited to privacy-conscious product events such as tool opened or analysis completed. Document contents, snippets, and generated drafts should not be analytics payloads.

05

Local drafts

clauseInsight.com does not intentionally persist sensitive contract text indefinitely. Generator content exists in the page while you work unless a future feature explicitly offers local draft saving.

06

Security limits

Browser-based processing reduces unnecessary document transmission, but no web application can make an absolute security guarantee. Use appropriate judgment for highly sensitive or regulated materials.
